I also understand the physician experience from the inside.
My husband and I met in medical school, and over the years we have shared two medical careers, practice and business ownership, marriage, parenting, and the many competing roles and responsibilities that accumulate across a life in medicine.
Lived experience matters. I understand that leadership, career, relationships, family, identity, and well-being don't exist in separate compartments. The questions physicians bring to coaching often live at the intersection of all of them.
My coaching reflects what I have learned both professionally and personally: meaningful and sustainable change begins with greater self-understanding. When we reconnect with our values, cultivate emotional intelligence, and lead with greater intention, we create lives and careers that are not only successful, but also deeply fulfilling.
Why I Created Zucker Physician Coaching
In working closely with physicians, I came to appreciate a recurring tension: the qualities that allow us to succeed in medicine—responsibility, endurance, and a deep commitment to others—can also leave remarkably little space for reflection on our own lives.
The challenge is rarely a lack of resilience or capability. Even highly accomplished physicians can find themselves primarily responding to the demands around them rather than intentionally shaping what comes next.
I created Zucker Physician Coaching to provide that space. Drawing on my background in psychiatry, coaching, and many years of lived experience in medicine, I partner with physicians to deepen self-understanding, work through complexity, and make more intentional choices about how they lead, work, and live.
I believe that developing as a physician is about much more than clinical skills. It’s about continuing to grow in ways that allow us to cultivate meaningful, rewarding lives alongside successful careers.
